HISTORY

On April 28, 1998, a hardworking construction team broke ground on a $39 million dollar project on Venture Drive. Landers Center opened its doors to the public 876 days later in September 2000. Since that day, hundreds of thousands of guests have entered its doors for sporting events, star-studded concerts, family friendly shows, conferences and more. All of which thrust Southaven and DeSoto County into the limelight, and still bring a great deal of impact to the local economy.

With the trifecta - a 10,000-seat arena, 17,000 square foot convention hall and 400-seat theater - Landers Center has made a name for itself in the industry. It has been a go-to for event planners and managers over the years looking for exceptional service. An expansion of the space is crucial in order to reach its maximum potential and to impact the local economy in a big way.
